Cygnets hatched at SIG site

SIG Construction Accessories’ branch at Trafford Park, Manchester got four new members of staff last week when four happy and healthy cygnets hatched in a nest in the yard.

Cygnets hatched at SIG site

The yard is at the edge of the Manchester to Liverpool Canal and, six weeks ago, a pair of swans laid six eggs, of which four have now hatched.

Dave Devlin, sales coordinator at SIG Construction Accessories says: “All the cygnets appear to be healthy and mother is very protective as can be expected. Nevertheless, she will quite happily sit and show off her babies to us, sometimes lifting her wing just enough to give us a peek, though we think that’s just her party trick to get more bread from us! We’ve really come to enjoy having the little guys swanning around.”
