Josie Sherwood from Stanway, Colchester, beat the odds to crack the combination on a safe and win £500 at Kent Blaxill’s annual Tool Fayre, held at the company’s Layer Road, Colchester, headquarters last week.

The prize was part of the evening’s attractions, which also included Ipswich Town legend John Wark who signed copies of his autobiography ‘Wark On’.

There were also two joint winners of the DeWalt strong arm competition who both walked away with £300 prizes.

Kent Blaxill operations director John Ford said: “With odds of 10,000 to one I never thought the combination would be broken, but I am delighted that the £500 was won by a long-standing customer. The whole evening proved a great success for all who attended, and Kent Blaxill will certainly be holding the event again next year.”
