Ian Purvis, a fan of the Kent Spitfires cricket team, who won a £1,200 Smeg fridge-freezer at the opening NatWest T20 Blast match against Sussex Sharks.

He correctly answered the free prize draw question that skipper Rob Key was the top run-scorer in last year’s tournament.

Jamie Pierce marketing manager of match sponsors Parker Building Supplies, who provided the prize, said: “We are proud to be a partner of Kent Cricket and wanted to show our support with a fantastic prize for the first match as part of our sponsorship.

“The reaction to the competition was fantastic and it was good to meet so many Spitfires supporters and even better was a wonderful win from the team on the pitch.”
