CPD platform for construction industry launched

A free online educational platform for construction industry professionals, has been launched, providing the industry with a single hub to support their Continuing Professional Development.

The Colab platform offers a hub of trusted content from leading industry partners to help upskill those working within the built environment. Whether its apprentices embarking on a career, or more experienced specialists looking to keep up-to-date with trends, content on Colab will be free for anyone who signs up to the platform.

Users who sign up to Colab will have access to a wide range of industry-relevant CPDs in the form of live events, webinars and on-demand videos, allowing content to be watched at a time and a place that is convenient for them. Once an event is attended or watched via the platform, users will receive a formal CPD certificate which can be reviewed or downloaded via the Colab site.

Regular seminars hosted by leaders within the construction industry will also be available to those signed up, including Futurebuild 2019 seminar presentations. The platform’s current supporters include ACO Water Management and Futurebuild, with further supporters to be announced later in the year.

Gemma Burley, Marketing Operations Manager at ACO, said: “We believe that Colab will transform how we educate and share knowledge across the construction industry, and we’re excited to be one of the first to be supporting Colab, alongside Futurebuild, to provide insightful content to those using the platform.

“Ensuring that we upskill is vital to the success of the industry, and the launch of Colab will provide an opportunity to educate professionals at all levels in an engaging and easily-accessible way. We’re excited to be supporting Colab, and look forward to sharing valuable industry insight with professionals who are connected with the platform.”
