Between 2.30pm and 4.00pm visitors to the merchant had the chance to take photographs with some of the team, as well as get autographs and enter a competition to win one of four tickets to a home game and a signed Portsmouth FC football shirt.

Players who attended the Covers meet and greet included central midfielder Adam May, winger Ben Tollitt and defender Calvin Davies. Covers has recently agreed to continue its sponsorship of the club as an Official Club Partner with their branding appearing on the team’s kit and stadium perimeter boards.

Dale Lambourne, manager at Covers Portsmouth, said: “We were delighted so many people took the opportunity to meet and greet the players from Portsmouth FC. It certainly proved to be a popular event and a fantastic way to get a much cherished photo.”

The winners of the competition were Blake Stone, who won a signed Portsmouth FC football shirt, and Gemma Lelliott, Jake Kelsey and Barbie Lloyd who all won tickets to a home game.
