Covers Timber and Builders Merchants has signed a deal with Chichester City Youth Football Club to sponsor their under 14`s and brand new Under 7`s team.
The sponsorship will see the merchant’s logo appear on the new football shirts for the youth teams, which the Chichester-based company provided them with.
Chairman of the youth football club, Andy Gilbert, is also product manager for Covers and has direct experience of how the club takes players of all abilities and provides the training necessary to let opportunities expand into higher levels.
He said: “My middle son, Ollie, began with the Chichester City Youth Football Club at the age of six, and is now a player at county level football for the main club at age 18 years.
“He is one of many aspirational footballers who have been coached through from 6 to 15 years of age with Chichester City Youth Football Club. When the youth reach 16, they are able to try out for the main senior club teams.”
The timber and builders merchant also sponsor League Two side Portsmouth.
