Covers donates £5,000 to Portsmouth FC Academy following charity match

Covers Timber and Builders Merchants has donated £5,000 to Portsmouth FC Academy following a charity match, which saw Covers FC teams take on former football legends from Portsmouth FC.

Three teams made up of the company’s staff, which has depots on Norway Road in Portsmouth, and Gunners Way in Gosport, along with their customers and family put their football skills to the test against well-known names from Pompey’s past, including Patrick Agyemang, Svetoslav Todorov and Guy Butters.

Portsmouth FC Academy works with budding young footballers to provide coaching, lifestyle and health advice. The money donated will be used to continue the Academy’s work supporting professional footballing stars of the future.
