Conex refurbs Spa Green estate

M&E Contractors EPS Orpington used the Conex Push-Fit fittings to restore and modernise the communal heating system at the famous Spa Green Estate which was designed in the 1940s as a model for social housing at the time.

Spa Green’s heating and hot water is provided by a central underground boiler plant. The main hot water pipe heats a calorifier in each flat which provides the hot water supply. Working with ALMO Homes for Islington and project architects Lipton Plant, EPS replaced and refurbished the flats’ heating systems, using Conex Push-Fit fittings.

The Conex Push-Fit range of brass plumbing fittings was designed specifically to make flame-free jointing simple for contractors. Suitable for a wide variety of applications with almost any pipe material, the Push-Fit range is quick and easy to fit for hot and cold potable water, heating, and chilled water systems. It can be used with virtually any pipe material including copper, stainless steel, carbon steel and plastics (PE-x & PB), they are the perfect fittings to keep in the back of the van for any job.
