Composite Prime shortlisted for national award

Eco-friendly decking producer, Composite Prime, has been named as a finalist in the 2019 Horticulture Week Business Awards.

The Ilkley-based firm has been shortlisted in the Business Innovation category of the awards, with the winners set to be revealed at a ceremony in London on 27 June.

The awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of businesses operating in production, garden retail, landscape contracting and arboriculture.

Charles Taylor, sales director at Composite Prime, said: “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award that celebrates business innovation in the horticulture industry.

“Innovation is at the heart of what we do and we are committed to developing creative and high-quality products for the market. We’re looking forward to celebrating the achievements of the industry next month and have our fingers crossed for success.”

Composite Prime’s garden landscaping products, HD Deck XS, HD Deck 150 and bestselling HD Deck Dual, are made from recycled plastic (280 plastic milk bottles used per square metre) and end of life FSC® 100% certified timber, to create a natural wood-grain composite decking that is low maintenance, barefoot safe, slip resistant, free from hazardous substances, environmentally-friendly and a longer-lasting alternative to timber.
