CEMEX Valuemix achieves FORS standard

Valuemix have been operating in Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas for only two years, providing a mobile volumetric service that supplies concrete and screed to building and construction companies as well as individuals doing DIY projects. The business started with one vehicle and over 12 months has increased to four.

Jon Lafferty, Valuemix Business Manager said: “It is a great achievement for Valuemix to achieve the FORS standard. In the industry and currently in Parliament, it is being hotly debated whether the types of vehicles used in this sector of the building materials business are plant or heavy goods vehicles.

“If considered HGVs there are significant restrictions on such things as drivers hours, weight of load ect which contribute to a high standard of operation and safety. By ensuring that we meet all the higher standards set for HGVs, Greater Manchester customers can be assured of our commitment to the highest standards of operations.”

CEMEX Valuemix has achieved the FORS Bronze standard and is now aiming to achieve Silver standard by June this year.
