CCF “reinvents” merchant model in Northampton

CCF, the insulation and interior building products distributor part of the Travis Perkins Group, has unveiled an original format at its new Northampton branch they claim reinvents the traditional merchant model.

The purpose-built trade counter, which is manned by a 14-strong team, has a bespoke design aimed at making it easier for time-pressed customers to get in and out of the branch, with everything they need, as quickly as possible.

The new branch format is backed by a 40,000 sq ft warehouse, installed with high-rise racking that has increased product availability by 30%.

A specially trained team is on-hand to provide expert ‘know-how’ and product advice whenever it is needed. To complete the package, a specialist fleet of Urban Artic Lorries and 26 tonne ‘Euro 6’ trucks will meet the demand for reliable on-site deliveries.

Steve Quarrington, regional director at CCF, said: “This is a completely new branch so the whole team is excited to be the first offering this customer focussed format. We believe it will truly allow us to set a new industry-standard of customer service.”

“Our focus is on maximising the provision of technical support and making each customer visit as valuable as possible by offering an extended collection of products, including exclusive Tradeline drywall solutions and Sektor glazing and partitioning systems.”
