CCF raises £17,000 for charity

Employees from CCF, the interior building products distribution arm of builders merchant group Travis Perkins, took on the Beat the Moon Challenge this month, raising money for Happy Days Charity.

The challenge saw the team tackle a 10-mile cycle through the Lake District, a 10-mile hike across Scafell Pike, canoeing a mile across Wast Water, a two-mile run and finally a further 10-mile cycle to cross the finish line. The event raised over £17,000 for the charity.

21 colleagues from CCF and a guest from British Gypsum completed the challenge in under 10 hours.

So far this year, CCF employees have raised over £20,000 for the Happy Days Charity, which means the team is well on its way to smashing the £40,000 annual target.

Kieran Griffin, managing director for CCF said: “We are extremely proud to have raised such an amazing sum of money for Happy Days Charity; I’m very proud of the team who gave up their weekend to join me on this crazy but very enjoyable and rewarding challenge.”

Those wishing to show support for the charity can still do so; the Just Giving page will remain open until 16th November and can be accessed at
