CBA moves forwards

Following the announcement that a number of independent builders merchants are to join a new buying group with CEMCO members, the remaining CBA members have announced that the remaining group will focus on the purchasing of core building, timber, hardware and civil engineering products.

CBA moves forwards

The remaining members are: AW Lumb, Beesley and Fildes, James Burrell, John A Stephens, Robert Price, and Tippers and all are key regional merchants with turnover in excess of £20m.

The group says that it has a flat structure with a lack of bureaucracy aimed at keeping suppliers close to the key decision makers within the members’ businesses.

It says its members believe in working together with suppliers to offer a differentiated route to market for their products and that are all financially sound, ethical and trustworthy companies who trade responsibly and with integrity. Members are focussed on creating a forward thinking buying group built on a foundation of traditional values.

All correspondence or enquiries should be sent to Steve Richardson of James Burrell
