Cumbria-based natural stone products producer has appointed Rob Irwin as managing director and Nick Williams as sales and marketing director.
Irwin, the company’s former production director, will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, whilst overseeing the strategic direction of Burlington’s business interests. Reporting to him, Williams will help deliver Burlington’s vision for the future.
Irwin joined Burlington in 2001 as production manager and was promoted to production director in 2003, when he assumed overall responsibility for Burlington’s production department.
Nick Williams has 25 years’ sales and marketing experience within the building and construction sector, He started his career with Marley Roof Tile Co Ltd and Marley Building Materials, before moving to landscaped gardens and driveways design and construction company Goddard Group/XD Ltd. He joins Burlington from Natural Paving, where he was sales and marketing director.
He says: “We also intend to purvey how versatile the product is, whether used for roofing, flooring, cladding, landscaping, or as an interior finishing material within the kitchen and bathroom. And finally, emphasis will be applied to Burlington’s environmental and green credentials; such focus covering the sympathetic manner in which material is quarried and processed, both of which deliver a reduced carbon footprint when compared to most imported stones.”
