Burdens directors set up new company

The receivers of failed civils and heavyside merchant group WTB Group have sold three of the WTB Trading depots to former Burdens directors.
Civils Store was incorporated on December 13 2012; its two directors are former WTB Trading chairman Alan Hampton and former WTB Trading marketing director Kevin Hancock.

WTB Group administrators Philip Duffy, Steve Clancy and David Whitehouse of Duff & Phelps sold the Redruth, Penrith and Sittingbourne WTB Trading depots was finally completed on 12 April 2013 to Civils Store.

Civils Store acquired the business assets (stock and chattels) of the remaining depots.

Duffy said: “We are delighted to have completed the successful sale of the final remaining depots owned by WTB Trading Limited to Civils Store Limited.”

Duff & Phelps were appointed as joint administrators to WTB Trading on 23 November 2012. They were also appointed over WTB Group on 27 November 2012, WT Burden on 5 December 2012, WTB investments (No:1) on 6 December 2012 and WTB Holdings on 28 February 2013.
