Richard Burbidge have a new contemporary acrylic panel in their FUSION stair balustrade range, which should open up new sales opportunities for stockists.
Available to fit both staircases and landings, the clear panel with curved corners is a modern alternative to traditional balusters. Being clear, it gives a feeling of light, even in the smallest hallway.
Easy to install, the panel attaches to the hand and baserail via brackets and can be cut to size to suit individual staircases.
The FUSION® range combines timber handrails and newels with metal-coated connectors to create a highly contemporary look.
FUSION® stair balustrade is available in pine, oak or dark hardwood, with connectors supplied in a chrome effect or brushed nickel finish. Complementary tubular metal balusters are also available as an infill option.
An average staircase of 12 treads and a 2m landing fitted with the FUSION® acrylic panel system retails at approximately £1200.00, inclusive of brackets and fittings.
Stair balustrade product manager Zoe Goff says that with the average house size getting smaller, hallways are shrinking too, leaving a need for more light. “At the same time, many upmarket hotels, bars and retail outlets now feature glass balustrade systems that consumers aspire to recreate within their own homes. Our FUSION® clear panel has been introduced in line with both of these trends. Its transparent finish maximises light and space, whilst its contemporary looks bring designer style into modern homes.”
