Halfway through his aim of climbing Mount Snowdon every week for charity, Andrew Craig from builders merchant Travis Perkins, is set to run up the mountain this weekend.
So far, Craig has climbed the mountain 32 times. He even did it twice in one day after bad weather forced him to abandon one climb. The part-time is undertaking the challenge to raise money for the Breast Cancer Campaign. He has already raised nearly £5,000 – more than five times his original target . After this weekend, that should rise to £7,500.
He is taking part in the Snowdon race for the first time and hopes to complete it in about two hours, although he told the Daily Post that he probably wouldn’t run the entire way.
This isn’t the first physical test that Craig has undertaken to raise money for charity. Last year, he was part of a team of Travis Perkins employees who had to cycle, kayak and jog their way across the Peak District to raise money for Mencap and Action for Children.
