Grant and Stone, the builders and plumbers merchants have opened a new plumbers merchants branch in Oxford and have launched a new corporate identity to go with it.

The plumbers merchant branch in Oxford takes the company’s total to 13, including traditional builders merchant, electrical wholesaling, bathroom showrooms and decorators merchants.
To make identification clearer for existing and potential customers, the company logos have been redesigned to include the name and the specialisation. “This means the logo for our general builders merchant branches say Grant and Stone with the word builders merchant underneath. The plumbers merchant arm has plumbers merchant underneath and so on,” says Darren House, marketing and design manager for the company, who are NBG LLP partners.
“There’s no confusion now, but everyone knows that they are all part of the same group. And, especially with the bathroom show room, the retail customers know that’s where they go to see bathrooms. They aren’t confused about it being a trade business, while trade customers still recognise the name and the business.”
