Builders merchant goes green with energy centre

Tim Farron MP officially opened the first green energy centre franchise at Builders Supply Co’s branch in Kendal on October 5.

Builders merchant goes green with energy centre

Jamie Kilduff, Builders Supply Co’s Green Energy Champion said that the company has seen an excellent response from businesses looking to reduce their energy costs and increase profits, with many coming from the hotel and guest house sector who could see immediate benefits from having a survey done.

He says he is also particularly pleased with the number of installers and developers who have said that they appreciate the new offering. “Many now want to partner with Builders Supply Co in promoting this added value offering. The enquiries continue to be received including those for new products also launched through the green energy centre franchise which have not historically been supplied through merchants.”

Farron said: “Builders Supply has been around for many years and has always brought new products and ideas to their customers, and now with the green energy centre they are able to help with energy and carbon reduction whilst saving money. It’s good to see a local company offering this type of service.”
