Francis Wilbur has been appointed to the position of mill manager at BSW Timber’s Southampton mill.
With more than 30 years’ experience in the timber industry, and a degree in Forestry from the University of Aberdeen, Wilbur will oversee the day to day management of the mill which was recently acquired from RF Giddings.
Tony Hackney, chief executive of BSW Timber said: “Francis takes up the post of mill manager at a significant time as we look to integrate our newly acquired Southampton mill into our existing UK mill network. Having worked with us previously at our Fort William base for more than four years, we’re confident that he will hit the ground running.”
Commenting on his appointment, Wilbur said: “BSW Timber is in a great position from which to build on the Group’s UK-wide network and I look forward to leading the team in Southampton as we seek to expand production capacity.”
