BSS Industrial md Frank Elkins, finance and supply chain director Steve Harris and business development director Tom Wilson, raised a staggering £8,000 for the Rainbow Trust.

Starting in Turnberry Scotland, the team cycled to Stranraer and caught the ferry over to Northern Ireland. They then pedalled down to Dublin where they hopped on another ferry to Anglesey in Wales before finishing up in Liverpool, just 60 hours after the start of their journey.

Elkins said: “The cycle ride was a huge challenge for us all, especially with the UK weather. However, we just kept in mind the great cause that it was all in aid of. We hope every penny will make a difference to those families who rely on the respite care provided by Rainbow Trust.”

Rainbow Trust provides practical and emotional support to families with children with life threatening or terminal illnesses since 2006, raising over £30,000 in 2010 alone.
