BSC lighten health & safety load

The British Safety Council (BSC) are supporting a Europe-wide campaign to tackle common workplace injuries.
This year ‘European Week for Safety and Health at Work’ will follow the theme “lighten the load” and will run from October 22-26.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of musculoskeletal disorders caused by lifting, repetitive strain and other everyday working practices.

In the run up to European Safety Week (which appears to be only four days long) the BSC is organising courses offering both employers and employees help and support in tackling the cause of these problems and dealing with their effect.

The BSC will also launch their new online health & safety assessment tool allowing smaller companies to benchmark their performance against a full set of indicators without the cost of an external advisor.
