Brewer TopStop takes control

The new Brewer TopStop is used for protecting a chimney whilst in use and during the shut-down season.

Brewer TopStop takes control

Designed for use with open fires, the Brewer TopStop incorporates a damper operated by a stainless steel cable attached to a handle located to the side of the fireplace. The handle is parked in either the open or closed position by means of a single screw mounting.

When open, the Brewer TopStop allows efficient exhaust of smoke and fumes, but still protects the chimney against rain, birds, squirrels, leaves and other debris.

To close the TopStop during the warmer months when the fire is not in use, the handle is put in the closed position to hold the damper shut. This eliminates annoying draughts that can be experienced during spring, summer and early autumn evenings when a fire is not required.

The Brewer TopStop is manufactured in 316 Stainless Steel for durability and can be powder coated in Terracotta, Buff or Black if required.
