Bradfords’ sixth acquisition in 14 months

Bradfords Group acquires Ashmead Building Supplies after receiving HSBC funding.
This is their sixth acquisition in 14 months. The purchase of Ashmead Building Supplies is said to be a key feature in the group’s growth strategy.

Adrian Haughton, Bradfords group finance director, said: “Bradfords has banked with HSBC for almost 45 years, so we’re confident that they know our business well and will always recommend the best option for us.

“With the right financing packages, HSBC has continued to support us through this exciting phase of our growth strategy.”

Mark Bennett, HSBC’s area director for corporate banking in Bristol and Bath, added: “The Bradfords Group has an impressive growth record which looks set to continue over the coming years.

“HSBC is committed to supporting the business with its expansion plans and, as one of the largest international banks, is well-positioned to help grow its acquisition portfolio.”
