Boyce moves from Plasplugs to QEP

Former Plasplugs sales and marketing director Paul Boyce has moved to main rival QEP as CEO of European operations.

Boyce left Plasplugs late last year after 17 years with the company, and took up his new role on January 7. QEP are a US-based business who describe themselves as the worldwide leaders in tiling tools and flooring solutions. Subsidiaries include Vitrex of Lytham St Annes, Plasplugs’ main rival in the UK tiling tools market.

In total, QEP operate out of more than 30 facilities worldwide, supplying a portfolio of over 3,000 products to more than 70 countries, with sales in excess of $200m, selling to diy and professional channels. Customers include home improvement retailers, merchants, specialist distributors, export markets and OEMs.

As CEO of European operations, Boyce is directly responsible for Vitrex in the UK, PRCI in France and QEP in Ireland.
