Compact equipment supplier Bobcat and UNICEF Belgium will be working together over the next three years on a range of projects in order to raise funds for UNICEF’s work in Africa.

Their first fundraising event formed part of the company’s celebrations at the opening of their new manufacturing plant at Dobris in the Czech Republic. A specially painted Bobcat S100 compact loader was auctioned at a Gala Dinner for the Bobcat distributors attending the plant opening.

Bidding started at €11,000, and grew until the auctioneer’s gavel finally came down for a third time to confirming Fintractor, the Bobcat distributor for Finland, had secured a winning bid with of €55,000.

The colourful artwork (pictured) was created by Théo Sisti, the five-year-old son of a Bobcat distributor in France, who attended the Gala Dinner in Prague with his parents

President of Bobcat Europe Scott Nelson commented: “As a global leader in compact equipment, our new partnership with UNICEF Belgium reflects Bobcat’s commitment to supporting the development of communities around the world and particularly the most important people in those communities, the children.”
