BMF shortlisted for Best Practice Awards

The Builders Merchants Federationhas been shortlisted for two prestigious Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards – Membership Success and Magazine of the Year.
The BMF’s membership has increased by 45% in the last two years and stands at a nine year high, making the Federation a strong contender for TAF’s Membership Success Award. One Voice, the new magazine for BMF members, is also shortlisted in the Magazine of the Year category.

As “the trade association for trade associations” TAF represents over 300 of the top trade bodies in the UK. Now in their thirteenth year, TAF’s eagerly anticipated Awards recognise, reward and promote Best Practice amongst its members. They are supported by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills who are longstanding members of the independent judging panel, and endorsed by NCFE, a premier national awarding body regulated by Ofqual.

BMF MD, John Newcomb said: “It is remarkable to be shortlisted for two prestigious Awards in our first year of entry. Many TAF members are far larger than the BMF and we fought off some stiff competition to get to this stage. Previous winners include the Road Haulage Association and the National Farmers Union. I am very proud of the BMF team and delighted that their hard work to support our own members is being recognised.”

The winners will be announced at the Awards evening in London on 9th July.
