Places are filling up fast for the Builders Merchants Federation’s merchants versus suppliers cricketing challenge at Worcester Cricket Club, voted one of most beautiful cricket grounds in the world.
Worcester only allow three corporate events a year so the 40/40 match, on Monday 11 August at 11.00am, will be something special, BMF regional manager Lynne Mulryan told buildersmerchantsjournal.net.
“This is the chance for merchants and suppliers to follow in the footsteps of legends such as Graveney, D’Oliveria, Botham, Hick and McGrath by playing cricket on the hallowed New Road turf at Worcester Cricket Club with the magnificent Cathedral as a backdrop. It will be a fantastic experience of a lifetime that no-one will forget, and you do not have to be experienced to participate – beginners are welcome.
“Even if you do not play cricket, why not come along and support one of the teams – families are welcome. This should be a lively day, weather permitting and WCC will provide scorers and umpires. Cricket kit will be provided for those who do not have any. ”
“There will be food and prizes and the cost will be a bargain £30 per person (player or spectator) to cover the food costs – bacon butties upon arrival and cold buffet for lunch.
