The Builders Merchant Federation has highlighted the importance of the industry Boiler Scrappage Scheme campaign to members.
The issue was flagged up in this month’s BMF Business News sent out to members, along with the website, www.reheatbritain.org.ukThe campaign, and Downing Street e-petition, was started by plumbers merchant Mick Williams who believes that it could help the Government meet carbon emission targets, as well as boosting plumbing industry jobs. The petition currently stands at 1618 signatures.

BMF believes the scheme should go much further than its original target of 4.5 million old boilers and has been working with other industry organisations to put it on the government’s carbon reduction agenda.
