Beatsons announced Cancer Research tie-up

Independent builders merchant Beatson’s Building Supplies Limited has teamed up with Cancer Research UK.

Beatsons announced Cancer Research tie-up

The Scottish merchant will donate £1 to the charity from every bulk bag of sand sold.

The company has depots in Alloa, Cumbernauld, Dunfermline & Penicuik and supplies building materials across the whole of the UK. A new branch is due to open later this spring in Stirling.

The target is to donate £50,000 to the charity within the next year.

Sales director Ross Marshall said: “We are delighted to be working with such a great charity. Nearly all of us can be affected by cancer in our life time, either directly or through someone we know and that’s why our donations will go towards Cancer Research UK’s work.”

Caroline Silke, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Cancer Research said: “We are really pleased that Beatson’s Building Supplies has chosen Cancer Research UK to benefit from a £1 donation from the sale of every bulk bag of sand. Cancer Research UK pioneers life-saving research to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. The charity receives no government funding for its research, so every step towards beating cancer relies on every pound donated.”
