The BBA’s head of marketing, Wendy Ajuwon (left of picture), made a special certificate presentation at UK Construction Week @UK-CW this week, welcoming general manager of @ecologicalbuild, Penny Randell onto the BBA stand and presenting her with a BBA product certificate for the pro clima Intello Plus #airtightness system.
The presentation marks the culmination of rigorous independent testing for the #airtightness system, which will give specifiers and contractors complete peace of mind that the solution has been approved by the BBA and therefore meets its promises for functionality and performance.
Commenting on the presentation Ajuwon said: “The BBA plays an important role in verifying the performance of building materials and ensuring that specifiers and construction contractors have the test data and assurance they need to drive improvements in our built environment.
“Airtightness is critical to the thermal performance of the building fabric and consequently also affects the energy efficiency and comfort of the finished building. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to present this certificate in person and will also have our senior Scientist Jon Denyer in a programme of #CPD seminars over the next few weeks to further airtightness best practice and highlight the benefit of testing and approvals, like those offered by the BBA.”
Jon Denyer, a senior scientist on the BBA’s Technical Excellence Team will join a range of international airtightness experts for the #Airtightness Seminar Tour, which will begin in #Swindon on Tuesday 16th October, before visiting #London (18th October), #Belfast (6th November), #Glasgow (8th November) and #Birmingham (22nd November).
