Baxi to chair key industry conference

Baxi is looking to the future of the heating sector as it prepares to join a panel of industry experts in presenting at the HHIC’s Future of Domestic Heating Conference.
The conference, which takes place on November 25th at One Birdcage Walk in London, will cover the decarbonisation of domestic heat – one of the hottest issues for successive governments and manufacturers – along with the latest updates on policy, the UK’s energy future, and innovation delivery.

Andrew Keating, marketing director at Baxi, is set to chair the afternoon session of the conference, which will discuss future technologies, including talks on the Internet of Things and carbon capture and mineralisation.

After the conference, guests will attend a Parliamentary Reception hosted by The Rt Hon. the Lord Whitty at the House of Lords. Baxi is the main sponsor for both events.

Keating said: “The HHIC conference is one of the most important dates in the heating industry calendar and this year’s headline topic – the decarbonisation of domestic heat – is one of the most pressing issues the industry is currently dealing with. With the recent policy changes affecting the sector, it is imperative that a clear plan of how the UK is going to reach carbon budgets for 2020 and beyond is laid out.

“Baxi is committed to helping to push towards and reach those targets and I’m looking forward to hearing the outcomes of the day’s discussions.”
