Barwood Products has released a special order rainbow range of grab rails and hinged arms, designed to help people with mobility issues and dementia.
Made in the UK from UK- sourced steel, powder coated and polished, these rails are available in a wide range of standard sizes and can also be custom made to order.
The brightly coloured rails are made to order in any size and any RAL colour – as some colours are proven to help customers with specific conditions.
Sharon McKenna, Barwood sales and marketing director, said: “Stylish designs should not just be reserved for non-disabled customers. Everyone should have access to well made, good looking products whether they are at home, in hospital in a care home or in a public loo.
“We make coloured rails available to give specifiers the choice of something brighter for spaces such as children’s wards in hospitals, nurseries and assisted bathing spaces for younger people, but they are also popular for other reasons.
“For example, red products are increasingly being used more widely for dementia patients as it is a colour that represents danger or hazards – even with short term memory loss and we’ve now introduced a bright red toilet seat for that reason too.”
The products are manufactured at the company’s headquarters in Staffordshire and can be made to any size, shape, length and finish.
