Bahco lend a hand for roofing

Tool people Bahco have launched the Bahco Lathko, a one hand operated adjustable clamp, which positions roofing battens securely, while they are fastened by hammer and nail or nail gun.

It is made from light, robust aluminium with a comfortable non-slip PVC coated grip and holds the batten in place so the tradesman can get on with the job, saving time in measuring by eye or tape.

For further safety and ease of use on the roof, the Lathko is fitted with a loop for belt attachment during roof access or when moving about.

Using this, the correct distance between battens can be easily set between 220mm and 455mm with a stop screw to suit different tile or slate sizes, and the in-built gauge aids fine adjustment. The jaws will grip battens between 25mm and 800mm width.
