Atlantic Group buys Avocet Hardware

Avocet Hardware Limited has been bought out of administration.

The hardware, locks and ironmongery company called in administrators Andrew Stoneman and Benjamin Wiles, of the global restructuring advisory practice Duff & Phelps last month.

Avocet Hardwarewas established in 1978 and operates through three UK divisions: Builders Hardware, a Door & Window Hardware division, and a High Security Lock division, set up in 2010 to market an innovative high security door lock.

It was sold on Friday (February 24) as a going concern to L Fibrelok Ltd and RTMV Jain Ltd, both operating companies of the Atlantic Group which took over Eliza Tinsley Ltd, in 2006.

It is the group’s fourth acquisition in the UK. in six years.
