Arco predict £17m in business from south Wales

The company already operates a store in Cardiff, supplying protective clothing and equipment, and with 7,970 work-related injuries reported in Wales last year, including 13 deaths, Arco saw the need for expansion. In fact, they estimate the market in Swansea and southwest Wales to be in excess of £17m.

Therefore, the company invested almost £200,000 in the new branch, bringing the UK total to 33. The 5,600sq ft site will have four trained staff on hand to offer businesses expert advice on all aspects of Health & Safety.

Branch manager Claire Barry has high hopes for the new store, “Swansea is an important opening for Arco – we can see enormous potential locally, and we know we can provide an excellent personal protective equipment service to businesses in the area.”
