Arbordeck Awards return with new Category

The Arbordeck Awards are set to returnLast year, Arbor Forest Products crowned Newcastle-based hot-tub and Trex® decking specialists North Spas as the inaugural winner of its decking installer awards.

Now, the awards are back, and this year the Arbordeck Awards will also be open to installers of Arbordeck softwood timber decking, with an expanded category list and more chances to win.

Commenting on the awards, Trex product marketing manager Sarah Francis explained: “Last year’s awards proved that there’s an appetite among decking installers to share their work – we were delighted with the standard of the entries we received.

“We want to continue to celebrate the work of decking installers across the country, and this year that also includes those working with Arbordeck softwood timber decking as well. Softwood decking is where it all started for Arbordeck, so it’s an important addition and an excellent fit for this competition. There are more opportunities to showcase your best work, and I’m sure we’ll see plenty of creative, high-quality decks on display.”

Installers can enter five awards categories: Best Small Trex Deck, Best Large Trex Deck, Best Commercial Trex Deck, Best Trex Design Solution and Best Arbordeck Softwood Timber Deck.

Every entry will be automatically submitted into the coveted ‘Deck of the Year’ award, which celebrates the best decking installation in the UK. The winner of this award, which will be selected by the Arbordeck Awards judging panel, will once again walk away with a money-can’t-buy trip for two to the US capital, Washington DC, and a visit to the Trex University in West Virginia.

All category winners will receive £250 in high street vouchers, as well as having their work professionally photographed and shared through the Arbordeck website and social media channels.

What’s more, this year the Arbordeck Awards will reward the people who own the deck too – so as well as having their decks professionally photographed, deck owners will receive £50 in high street vouchers.

The awards are free to enter: installers simply need to complete the online entry form and upload at least one photo of the finished deck. There’s no limit on how many times you can enter each category, and installers are encouraged to enter the same deck in more than one category – as long as it is eligible.

The Arbordeck Awards are open for entries from now until 17th September – with the winners revealed at Futurescape on 19th November, 2019.
