North Yorkshire Timber (NYT) have achieved their best-ever monthly sales figure in the company’s 28 year history – £1.4 million.

The record figure is part of increased trading across all NYT’s six sales centres – Ripon, Richmond, Northallerton, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Sunderland – plus County Durham-based builders’ merchants Ward and Naylor which NYT acquired last year.
Sales and marketing director Nick Kershaw said: “The continued growth in an increasingly competitive market is based on commitment to providing excellent service, the quality of the product range and reliability on deliveries.
“We’re stocking more builders’ merchants products as well as timber so our customers can get all they need in one place. Our core ranges continue to sell extremely well but offering a wider range of timber and general building products has made the difference.”
The company are now projecting a turnover of £15 million for this year a £2 million increase on the previous 12 months.
