Alder Hey hospital enters new era with Grundfos

Alder Hey Hospital cares for 270,000 young people and their families each year. In 2015 they entered a new era with the opening of their new £237m hospital, and Grundfos were there to help.
Environmental considerations were important, and Grundfos Pumps were delighted to help. They have worked with Alder Hey for many years, and they were one of the first sites to install energy efficient Grundfos MAGNA pumps in 2002.

Hospitals are operationally complex sites, meaning that selecting the correct pumps is vital. Grundfos assisted with the specification and supply of 70+ speed-controlled pumps and booster sets, as well as pressurisation units and ancillary equipment. The system is supported by BACnet technology – an international data communication technology used in BMS worldwide.

Grundfos are proud that their pumps will be playing a supporting but crucial role in Alder Hey Hospital’s reinvention.
