£400,000 investment at Chandlers in Thanet

Chandlers Building Supplies that has operated in Thanet for over 12 years has now unveiled the fruits of a £400,000 investment.

The large-scale investment by the independent builders merchant has facilitated the relocation of its branch from Ocivan Way, Margate to a newly developed operation at the Old Timber Yard, Ramsgate.

While also bringing new employment opportunities to the area, the extensive footprint of the new store and yard allows the outlet to offer a vastly expanded range of building products. thanetRESIZED

Unique to the Thanet branch is a dedicated self-builder advisor, Lee Blythe. Lee is an unrivalled source of knowledge to help self-builders and developers source and manage their building projects.

John Rose, branch manager, said: “This is a large investment and has delivered a brand new offering with great scope for future growth. As part of this expansion we will also be looking to increase our team and will be looking to recruit and train locally.”

Chandlers Building Supplies is well-known in the trade as a great source of knowledge and advice particularly for self builders and smaller developers. It opened its doors in Ramsgate last month.
