£150k raised for teenage cancer trust

Parker Building Supplies celebrates the new year by announcing it has raised in excess of £150,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust.

For the last decade Parkers has supported the Teenage Cancer Trust. Fund-raising initiatives included golf days, football tournaments, a dedicated fundraising week and even abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower!

Sue McKinney speaking on behalf of Parkers said: “We’re delighted to announce that Parkers, along with Chandlers Building Supplies and Fairalls, will continue to play a significant part in helping Teenage Cancer Trust make sure no young person faces cancer alone.”

Helen Farquharson of Teenage Cancer Trust said:  “We are extremely grateful to the team at Parker Building Supplies for its incredible long-term support.   The dedicated staff and customers have raised a phenomenal amount of money to support young people with cancer.

“Every £30 raised helps fund an hour of specialised nursing support for a young person having treatment for cancer, so the ongoing support of Parker Building Supplies and its partners Chandlers Building Supplies and Fairalls will continue to make a difference to people’s lives.”

Chandlers Building Supplies, Parker Building Supplies (Parkers), and Fairalls, have now consolidated their position in the South of England as the leading independent building materials supplier. It has 37 branches operating right across the South East.
