Three companies from the Saint-Gobain group prepare to climb

152781Three companies from the Saint-Gobain group are teaming up to raise vital funds for a children’s charity by taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

A group of 11 people from leading UK firms Ideal Bathrooms, Neville Lumb and International Decorative Surfaces (IDS) will be walking 26 miles in July in aid of Barnardo’s.

The 12-hour adventure will see the group take on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

Speaking about the challenge, Steve Gillespie, finance director of Ideal Bathrooms, said: “The nerves are already starting to kick in but we’re all very excited. Barnardo’s is a fantastic charity, which protects and supports the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people, and we are hoping to raise £5,000 for the great cause. The goal is to complete the challenge inside the traditional 12-hour window, which will secure our entry into the prestigious Pen-y-ghent Café Club!

“If you would like to support us and this brilliant charity, please send in your donations via our Just Giving page.”
