Showcase event success for MKM Honiton

MKM’s Honiton branch has celebrated its half-year anniversary and launch of its new kitchen and bathroom showroom with a special open evening.

The occasion involved free drinks, food and music for MKM Honiton’s trade and retail customer base as well as many other members of the public. The event was laid on at the builders’ merchant’s location on the Heath Park Trade site, and over 150 people attended to join in the fun. 

MKM Honiton has received a warm welcome in the Devon town since opening its doors in August 2016. The branch has seen strong footfall in its store as well as over the phone, with blocks, cement and aggregates helping to drive sales.

Being one of the Hull-headquartered company’s 46 branches, but only its first in the south-west, the evening was an opportunity for those interested to learn even more about MKM. MKM places a big emphasis on their relationship with its customers, so the evening was a welcome chance build even closer ties. With a hog roast, live music and the opportunity to win a hamper, customers could browse MKM’s state-of-the-art kitchen and bathroom showrooms and chat with MKM’s dedicated showroom specialists, Anna and Wayne.

Clive Carvell, Branch Director at the Heath Trade Park site, said: “The evening had a great vibe – it was a pleasure to be able to thank and give something back to the community that has welcomed us into the town so warmly.

“Being MKM’s first branch in the south-west, the team was keen to make a strong first impression, which we hope we have. Over the next six months, we’re looking to cement the fantastic relationships we’ve built in Honiton and the surrounding area.”
