Leading international water treatment specialist, Sentinel, has appointed Damien Huxtable as the company’s new Area Sales Manager for Southwest England and South Wales. With Sentinel currently enjoying a period of sustained growth in rapidly expanding areas of the UK market, the appointment is seen as a way to leverage growing opportunities in this commercially important geographic area.
Huxtable, who has spent most of his career in the plumbing/hot water industry, arrives at Sentinel after nearly five years as Senior Specification Manager for a company that is now number one in its sector in the UK and Ireland. He was brought in to build the company’s UK specification and contract market, and developed it from £250,000 in 2013 to £7.2 million in 2017.
He is highly experienced in developing customer relationships and managing commercial projects. His track record is exemplary in securing major orders and new business development, a trend which he will clearly be looking to continue at Sentinel.
In his new role, Huxtable will be tasked with generating new business and developing existing trade across Southwest England and South Wales, with contractors, merchants, regional developers, housing associations and councils. He will also work with boiler and radiator manufacturers to identify joint opportunities.

There are many specific opportunities in my region that I will be looking to tap into, particularly the chemicals business with housing associations and new build markets. Sentinel’s Vortex Filter also offers huge potential in the Southwest, while there are genuine contract gains to be made with private installers and rental landlords,” said Huxtable, who has already set to work.
