Selco opens 64th branch in Leicester

The UK’s fastest growing builders merchant has brought its offering to Leicester – marking its sixth branch opening so far in 2018.

Selco Builders Warehouse has taken the wraps off branch number 64 in Leicester at a launch event this week, as the builders merchants’ rapid branch expansion continues.

The new Leicester store on Parker Drive features the full Selco offering, including a comprehensive kitchen design service, Selco Hire and an in-branch café.

In addition, Selco offers numerous online services including Click and Collect within 30 minutes and a next day courier service with over 6,500 products available online.

Howard Luft, Selco’s chief executive, said: “We are delighted to bring Selco to Leicester. In this latest opening we are bringing Selco’s unique offering to even more tradespeople across the East Midlands, proving Selco is the one-stop shop for the trade.”

“We always put the customer at the heart of everything we do and as a multi-channel builders merchant we want to give them the chance to get their building materials in the most convenient way.” Luft continued.

The ribbon has already been cut on branches in Solihull, York, Milton Keynes, Leeds Roundhay and St Albans this year, with Chelmsford and a second store in Bristol all due to be trading before the end of June. The launch of the Leicester branch has also seen Selco continue its support to the community by giving away £3,000 to charities in each area.

With hundreds of trade brands always in stock and open seven days a week, Selco Leicester is firmly focused on helping local tradespeople complete their jobs as quickly and effectively as possible.

Selco also offers a free Project List app which allows tradespeople to plan, manage and quote for all jobs through their smartphone. As well as keeping track of jobs, the app has now become transactional, meaning tradespeople can easily purchase from Selco’s huge range of materials.
