The evening, which is held as a ‘thank you’ for a number of long term suppliers, was hosted at Crystal Palace’s football ground, Selhurst Park, and included dinner, entertainment and a Q&A session with the former footballing star.

Paul Merson had an illustrious career at the very top level during his playing days, primarily with Arsenal where he won two league titles, the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, as well as receiving over 20 caps for England. He is now one of the key members of the Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday team.

Darren Price, Group Operations Manager at Rudridge, said: “Our annual Sporting Dinner is renowned for the footballing legends it attracts and this year certainly did not disappoint.

“The Q&A session with Paul was both entertaining and honest, and was a great opportunity for football fans to get an insight into their respective worlds.  We would like to thank Paul and everyone who joined us on the night for making the evening so thoroughly enjoyable.”
