Balustrade expert Richard Burbidge has launched a new Traditional glass panel system.
Suitable for use on ground level and raised decks, the system features slimline, easy to handle glass panels supplied with a metal bracket that fits into the large traditional rail system.
As well as providing an important safety barrier the Traditional glass panel system also enhances the sense of space and prevents views from being obscured.
There are three newel styles – Colonial, Patrice and Stop Chamfered.
Outdoor balustrade product manager Catriona Nicholls says that research from last summer showed an increasing interest in the use of alternative materials, such as glass, in the garden. “The Traditional glass panel system is a great choice for smaller garden, where glass can create the illusion of additional space, or raised decks, where homeowners often want to make the most of the view.”
Suggested selling prices for the Traditional glass panel system start from £164.80 per linear metre for the ground level option (all prices are exclusive of VAT).
Suitable for domestic use, the Traditional glass panel system is tested in line with the latest Building Regulations. The ground level system is designed to resist loadings of 0.36kN/m, whilst the raised system can withstand loadings of 0.74kN/m.
