Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Ripat Ltd, which owns timber products manufacturer Richard Burbidge has acquired timber firm FW Mason from administrators for an undisclosed sum.
The new owners will continue to operate the Colwick site, and the company will operate as Masons Timber Products, independently of the Richard Burbidge business and that of sister company Atkinson & Kirby.
Nottingham-based FW Mason entered administration on March 25 this year, citing rising fuel costs and lack of available credit as key factors.
Administrator the P&A Partnership has been trading the business since then, while a buyer was sought.
