NMBS launches All-Industry Conference app

NMBS Conference 2018 appTo help delegates maximise their time and the benefits of attending its 2018 All-Industry Conference, NMBS has developed and launched a new and bespoke conference app.

Available for both iOS and Android mobile devices, the new app offers an impressive breadth and depth of information which can be accessed in a quick and easy to navigate way.

Delegates can use the app to view important and essential event details such as daily itineraries, speaker topics, biogs and times, and a map of the conference venue – the Grand Hotel Dino, Baveno – with the location of specific events and activities clearly marked.

The app also boasts a host of other useful functionality. This includes the ability to view the profiles of other delegates and to send them direct messages, to save their contact details and to arrange meetings with them.

Delegates can also access documentation such as speaker handouts and make notes on these materials before emailing them as saveable files.

In addition, NMBS will use the app throughout the conference to distribute messages and updates, ensuring all delegates are kept informed of events and developments.

Sam Hunt, events manager at NMBS, said of the new app: “NMBS has always had an active commitment to embracing technology to enhance the service we offer to our members and suppliers, and ultimately the success and effectiveness of our operations.

“The development of our new NMBS Conference 2018 app reflects that ethos and also adds to a track record which includes being an early adopter of EDI technology to lower our operating costs and of web based systems such as the NMBS Report Centre to ensure more streamlined methods of working.

“Given the growing attendance and complexity of the NMBS All-Industry Conference, the new app will prove invaluable in helping delegates to make the most of what promises to be another highly valuable and beneficial, business-focused event.”

Those looking to download the app can do so by visiting the Apple App Store or Google Play and searching ‘NMBS Conference 2018′.
