Builders support VAT cut campaign

Builders organisation the Federation of Master Builders is supporting the Cut the VAT Campaign.

The campaign, which is also supported by the Modern Masonry Allliance and the Builders Merchants Federation, argues that VAT on all home repair, maintenance and improvement work should be reduced from 20% to 5%.

The campaign has a new website with details of how affected businesses can get involved. There is also an online petition.
